Museum Night St. Gallen 2011

On the Museum Night, some 35 museums and galleries in St.Gallen are open from 6pm to 1am. In the Sitterwerk, the Kunstgiesserei, the Fotolabor, the book workshop of Markus Comba, and the Vacuum-Metallurgy are once again open to the public this year - in addition to the Studio House, the Kesselhaus Josephsohn, and the rooms of the Art Library and the Material Archive.

A ticket for the Museum Night costs Fr. 20.–, is valid for all of the participating museums, and allows the ticket-holder to ride free on the Museum Night circuit of the VBSG as well as on the shuttle bus from Stocken to the Sitterwerk (every 10 minutes).

Entrance is free for children and young people up to the age of 16. The tickets can be purchased in all of the participating museums. Details on the individual institutions can be found at and in a clearly arranged program that is available at all of the institutions.

Program in the Sitterwerk:

Starting at 6pm – Sitterwerk is open:
free access to the Kunstgiesserei, Fotolabor, book workshop, Vacuum-Metallurgy, Studio House, Art Library, Material Archive, and the Kesselhaus Josephsohn.

7, 9, and 11pm
• Tours through the Art Library, Material Archive, Kesselhaus Josephsohn, Studio House

8 and 10pm
• Tours through the Kunstgiesserei, Vacuum Metallurgy, and Fotolabor

• Midnight casting

6pm to 1am – Pizza, beer, and bar
