Josephsohn in Lismore Castle

May 12, 2012 to September 30, 2012

Castle Lismore in Southern Ireland, which was founded in 1170, today provides premium accommodations for private events. During the summer months, the west wing is open to the public: the exhibition rooms set up here in 2005 are dedicated to contemporary art.

In recent years, it has here been possible to see works and groups of works by, among others, Richard Long, Rita McBride, Ai Weiwei, Roman Signer within the framework of solo and thematic group exhibitions.

In May 2012, a solo-exhibition with Josephsohn will open here in cooperation with Hauser & Wirth and the Kesselhaus Josephsohn: around 20 works from various phases of his work from 1950 to 2011 will be shown in the gallery rooms and the exterior space. At the same time, St. Carthage Hall in the small city, which is affiliated with Lismore Castle Arts, will open an exhibition by TJ Wilcox.–––
