Experiments with Plaster in the Material Archive and the Art Library

In cooperation with the Gewerblichen Berufs- und Weiterbildungszentrum St.Gallen

The Material Archive and the Art Library in the Sitterwerk offer optimal conditions for exploring a broad spectrum of materials and substances. When doing so, creative, technical and artisanal criteria play a role.
Here one has the opportunity to become inspired, work in and explore the excellent Art Library and the substantial collection of the Material Archive.

The focus of this course in on the material plaster, although additional materials may also be used.

During the work, the course establishes practical as well as theoretical connections to the different materials available to us for sculptural work.
We will work on six evenings on the subjects of architecture, art and material. In addition, various specialists give technical presentations.
