On the industrial area in the Sittertal near St.Gallen, artists, craftspeople, scientists and a broad public meet. The Sitterwerk with its Art Library, Material Archive, Studio House and the Kesselhaus Josephsohn forms the institutional center in a network of producers of art and cultural-entrepreneurial enterprises. In the Kunstgiesserei, the Photo Lab, the Book Workshop and the institutions of the Sitterwerk, production, research, conservation, presentation, and mediation of art interfuse and enrich one another in a multifaceted manner.
