Lorenza Longhi was a guest in the Sitterwerk studios from May to August 2019.
The dissolution of seriality by means of manual production, of design status symbols by means of faulty handwork, not only in her copies of furniture from USM—in her work, Lorenzo Longhi mercilessly interrogates established concepts of corporate identity and supposed individualism. In the Sitterwerk, the artist utilized the space and time to pursue these topics further, and presented her current projects at the open studio. Lorenza Longhi studied visual art at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and completed her master’s degree at the Ecole d'Art Lausanne (ECAL). She recently exhibited in Basel in connection with the Kiefer-Hablitzel-Göhner Art Prize and was part of the group exhibition _The Replacements _at the Museum Bellpark in Kriens.
