Admission to the Art Library and Material Archive

Opening hours on public holidays: Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Pentecost Day, White Monday and All Saints' Day, from 2–6 p.m.
On Good Friday, Easter Sunday, 1st of August (National Holiday), and from the 23th of December 2024 until the 1st of January 2025, the Sitterwerk will be closed to the public.
Tours
The Sitterwerk Foundation offers tours of the Kunstgiesserei, the Kesselhaus Josephsohn, the Kunstbibliothek, and the Werkstoffarchiv. As an introduction, the history and function of the individual institutions are described and the production of cast sculptures is explained. The individual work steps in the production process can be comprehended during the tour through the workshops of the Kunstgiesserei and the collections of the Sitterwerk.
Private tours
Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A tour lasts around 1.5 hours, max. 25 persons per group
CHF 400.–, plus CHF 5.– admission per person (regular rate)
CHF 250.–, plus CHF 5.– admission per person (reduced rate for school classes)
CHF 300.–, plus CHF 5.– admission per person (rate for members of the Sitterwerk circle of patrons)
Early registration is recommended.

Guestroom
Extensive research is possible in the guestroom of the Kunstbibliothek and Werkstoffarchiv.
An overnight stay for one or two individuals costs CHF 50.–

Room Rentals
Room rentals are normally offered in combination with guided tours.
For conferences and seminars that take place during the day, a further room is available on the premises. Room rentals are usually offered in combination with a guided tour. The rates are listed below. Events with catering can only be booked by patrons of the Sitterwerk Foundation.
Individual evening events with aperitif or dinner at the Art Library can be booked.
