Fleeting Artworks
During her stay in the Sitterwerk in spring 2006, she produced various, in part quite ephemeral, artworks. Thus, for example, she painted with a damp sponge on the plaster walls of the studio during the Museum Night. The drawings thus created dried out quickly in the mild autumn heat and without a trace.
No less subtle is one of the permanent works that has been situated in the studio since Eliza Proctor's stay. A cast bronze plate lies high up under the roof of the studio on a former crane support. Toward the bottom the plate is conforms to the surface of the crane support while toward the top it features the structure of a sandbank that Eliza Proctor molded on the bank of the Sitter River.
