Caricatured Masks
For the production of a large-dimensional project, the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone is using the large hall in the Studio House in winter 2006.
Ugo Rondinone models caricatured head masks out of hard polystyrene foam based on images of masks. In a later step, silicon negatives of these sculptures will be made by the Kunstgiesserei and then cast in rubber and aluminum.
