Marie Pietsch stayed in the Sitterwerk’s guest studio for two months. At the open studio, the Hamburg-based artist is presenting the works created here. Everyday objects, slightly exaggerated, representative, pathbreaking, confusing. Cloth banners with atmospheric conditions in the indoor space, threaded onto oversize needles, glass wind indicators, highly precarious, neither decoration nor function. These and other confusing and sundry things are taken to an extreme and tested out in the artist’s work. Click here to visit her website.
