Virginia Overton
Virginia Overton is an artist in residence at the Sitterwerk guest studio from June to August 2025.
Virginia Overton (*1971 in Nashville, USA, lives in New York) is known for her large-scale sculptures made from found building materials, which she transforms into new, spatial structures. Her works are characterized by a process-oriented, improvisational approach to space and material.
Open Studio with Vanessa Billy and Virginia Overton
The Sitterwerk Foundation cordially invites you to an open studio event with current guest artists Vanessa Billy and Virginia Overton on Monday, August 11, 2025. Starting at 5 pm, the two artists will provide insight into their current projects. Afterwards, there will be a bar, something to eat, and a surprise that will linger in your memory.

Presentation of the catalog for Virginia Overton's solo exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Winterthur (September 5–November 9, 2025) & discussion with Virginia Overton, Lynn Kost (curator, Kunstmuseum Winterthur), and Dan Solbach (graphic designer).
