A Syllabus (Session 3): Thinking the library through its readers
26.April 2024
Lucie Kolb in conversation with Eva Weinmayr
In a conversation artist Eva Weinmayr outlines the project, the Library of Inclusions and Omissions, a Reading Room, that hosts a community collection of feminist, queer and decolonial material that is still missing in our established libraries and databases, does not conform with the canon of Western, white, patriarchal academia, mainstream publishing, or is marginalized for other reasons. The conversation took place as part of the artistic research and education project “Teaching the Radical Catalogue: A Syllabus 2021-22,” which explores the process of information gathering as a political project (syllabus.radicalcatalogue.net).
Eva Weinmayr set up the «Library of Inclusions and Omissions» (Göteborg), is co-founder of AND Publishing (London) and explores in “Noun to Verb” the micro-politics of publishing from an intersectional feminist perspective.
